Regular Season Begins

The first round of the regular season is almost in the books. So far games have been close, and well entertaining. The November newsletter has been released so please download a copy on our website or pick up a copy this Saturday as some very important problems and issues has been addressed.

We are looking for more interactive features to our website, if you have an idea please contact the webmaster at the bottom of the page to make a suggestion. Currently we have a web poll on our Game Day page.

100 Years of Glory

The Montreal Canadiens are celebrating their Centennial year over the course of the next 2 seasons. Throughout the year we will be sharing that history with you through interesting facts!

November 18, 1926
The Canadiens are permanently installed in the Forum. They suffer a 2-1 loss against the Ottawa Senators in their first game played in their new official home.

September 17, 1935
Jos. Cattarinich and Leo Dandurand, the owners of the Canadiens since 1931 sell the club to the Canadian Arena Company for $165,000. Property of Senator Donat Raymond, already owns the Montreal Maroons. However, both teams are struggling financially and by 1938 a decision has to be made as to which team will fold. It is decided that the English team, Montreal Maroons would end operations. This move officially kicked off the original six era lasting until 1967.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
Are you interested in SU Sportz but are finding it difficult to register one, two, three, four, or more of your children due to the financial cost. At SU Sportz we'd like to give all children and families a chance to play the game, that's why we offer scholarships to give those children the chance to play. All those interested please contact Bob Johnston. Serious inquires only please.
